I use corel all the time. to get files into indesign, I save out as Illustrator 10. This export filter supports fonts. The newer ones convert fonts to outlines. Then open in Illustrator, CS to get a preview which will be visible in Indesign. Then place into indesign. I suspect that your problem is that since corel does not necessarily have a fully functional license to embed fonts, it does not. When you try to highlight the fonts in the pdf restrictions on the file prevent you from copying fonts.
