C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100 Any kind of "rich black" will print grey as the IGEN lays down black toner first. Everything else gets laid down on top cyan- yellow-magenta - and will make the black lighter and muddy. We have also had good success creating R=0, G=0, B=0 photoshop files and used those as background images - and that has again created a great black. Considering the IGEN "optimizes" any CMYK value you give it, I believe that even c0m0y0k100 might change once on the press. I am sure the U.S. Sheetfed color setting for CMYK and the ADOBE RGB settings in InDesign have something to ... - Read More at This Link..
