Prepress Software :: SPOT-CMYK conversion models
We're having an issue with color conversions with spot colors. Where I work, we use Prinergy 3. We also do a lot of work in InDesign. When I need to send work that is going to be CMYK and we get it as spot, I change the color in the Ink Manager to CMYK and then send it to the RIP. Our day shift people send the jobs to Prinergy as spot, then do a 2nd refine to convert to CMYK & trap. We're getting color shifts.
