I agree that the color should be converted at the earliest point. But just to see the other side is If all your Indesign stations don't use the same color settings then the spot could be different depending on the color settings. Now Idealy all your work stations will be set the same and stay that way but as we all have seen the settings will get changes and no one will know who or why they were changed. So if the colors are changed at the rip it doesn't depend on each work station being the same. - Read More at This Link..
