I teach graphic design at a college and want to give my students some prepress advice. Previously, I have told them not to import layered psd files into InDesign, but to save them as flattened TIFs before importing. I know in early versions of InDesign, PSDs with many layers would cause the file to take longer to rip. Now that InDesign has been refined and submitting PDFs is common, is it okay to use import psd files with layers? How about native AI files versus EPS? - Read More at This Link..
